Introduction

    The Metacognition & Learning Lab at Beijing Normal University (BNU) conducts two lines of research. The first concerns Science of Learning, wherein we explore effective strategies to promote learning efficiency and apply the principles from cognitive psychology to enhance teaching practice. The second line of research focuses on Metacognition. Specifically, research in our lab targets to explore how people monitor their learning/memory status (e.g., judgments of learning), whether and to what extent their judgments are accurate, which factors affect judgment accuracy, and how to calibrate metacognitive illusions.
