Shaohang Liu

I received my B.Sc. degree from the School of Psychology at Beijing Normal University in 2016, and my M.Sc. degree in Psychology of Education from the School of Education, University of Bristol in 2017. My doctoral research was conducted at the School of Psychological Science, University of Bristol (2017-2022), supervised by Dr. Christopher Kent and Dr. Josie Briscoe. I am currently a postdoc at BNU Metacognition & Learning Lab.

One ongoing line of my research is to probe the positive effect (i.e., the testing effect) and the negative effect (i.e., retrieval-induced forgetting) of memory retrievals. Another line of research explores how to improve learning with pedagogic interventions and educational technologies.
