I received my doctoral degree from the Department of Educational Psychology and Learning Systems at Florida State University. I also worked as a graduate research assistant at the Center for Postsecondary Success during the last few years of my PhD studies. Since 2024, I have been a postdoctoral fellow at the BNU Metacognition & Learning Lab.
My research interests focus on the relationships among people’s learning-related beliefs such as epistemological beliefs and self-competence beliefs, and their connections to various aspects of student learning within a specific domain or discipline. Additionally, I am interested in examining the gender differences in students’ STEM motivation and the key factors that contribute to these differences.
